What Encouragement Did Joseph Gave To His Brothers, After The Death Of Their Father?

We thank Almighty God once again for giving us this opportunity.

Brethren, we are going to discuss this topic,' the encouragement, Joseph gave to his brothers after the death of their father”.

The old testament will help us to understand the story well.

I hope we will get more understanding when we read the book of Genesis 50:12-26.

Jacob gave birth to 12 children, but they are of different mothers.

Rachel gave birth to Joseph and Benjamin while the rest of his Brothers were from different mothers.

Jacob has a love for Joseph and Benjamin more than his brothers.

Due to some problems, Joseph was sold to the Ismaelites and they also sell him to Potiphar.

Joseph was ruled under punishment when He escape from the hands of Potiphar's wife.

After all this, Joseph became the prime minister in the city.

Joseph welcomes His father and His brothers into the city when there is famine in the various cities around.

Jacob was excited when he saw his son Again.

Joseph lives well with his family when famine arises in various cities.

Joseph gave his family a special place to survive to provide for his family.

When Joseph's brothers saw that their father was dead, they said," it may be that Joseph will hate us and pay us back for an evil which we did to him.

His brothers sent a message to Joseph, saying, Your father gave this command before he died.
Say to Joseph, Forgive the transgressions of your brothers and their sins, because they did evil to you.

Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

His brothers also came and fell before him, and say, behold we are your servants.

Joseph replied by saying, fear not, for am I in the place of God.

Joseph continues to say, as for you, meant evil against me but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.

So do not fear, I will provide for you and your little ones.

Joseph reassures them and comforted them.

Joseph's continued and say, I am about to die, but God will visit you, and bring you up out of this land to the land which he swore to Abraham, to Isaac and Jacob.

This was the encouragement Joseph gave to his brothers after the death of his father.
