What Happens To Ananias And Saphira When They Lie To Apostle Peter?

Peter was one of the disciples Of Christ.

Peter was close to Christ than his colleagues.

After Jesus has taken to heaven, Peter was the apostle who leads his colleagues in everything.

According to the book of act 5:1-12

We got to know that Ananias and Sapphira promise the church that

they are going to sell some of their lands and use the money as a sacrifice for the church.

Ananias and Sapphira sold the land and

they decided to take part of the money and give the rest to the church.

One early morning, Ananias and his wife decided to send the money

to the Apostle but Ananias went to Peter while his wife is on her way coming.

Ananias told Peter, this is the money we promise to give to the lord but Peter told Ananias

why satan filled his heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the money?

Peter asks Ananias, while it remained unsold, did it not remain your own?

And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal?

How is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart?

You have not lied to men but God.

When Ananias heard these words, he fell and died.

Some of the young men around rose and wrapped him up and carried out and buried him.

After some hour, his wife Sapphira came not knowing they have buried Ananias.

Peter asks Sapphira about the land and she also lies to the Holy Spirit.

Peter said to her, how is it that you have agreed together to tempt the spirit of the Lord?
Peter continues to say,

the feet of those that have buried your husband are at the door and they will carry you out.

After peter says that, she fell at his feet and died.

When the young man came in they found her dead, and

they carried her out and buried her beside her husband.
