There are different kinds of religion and everyone knows the ways to communicate with the maker. The kind of name given to the maker does not mean we serve different kinds of Gods. Some religions seem to be different in serving the creator but all the same, everyone has the right to participate in any religion. Prayer is the conversation between man and the creator.
Nowadays, praying seems to be difficult, especially when performing some personal duties without the whole congregation. Prayer has a lot of benefits on human life but how we communicate with our maker makes us feel our prayers are bouncing off by the ceilings. God's answers come according to his timing which may span a long period, as happened to Daniel.
In times of prayers, there are many responsibilities and steps to follow to communicate with the Creator and I would like us to share in this article to meet our needs before Our Creator.
Find a place that is comfortable for you:
A place to pray to the creator counts as one of the factors needed to consider when praying. Finding a comfortable place will allow us to focus on the moment of praying. A quiet place can allow us to connect with our maker without any disturbances in our lives. When Almighty God was about to deliver the commandment to Moses, he met him at Mount Sinai of which no one is included.
Know to whom you are speaking:
Knowing someone before speaking counts as one of the factors that need to be considered. Having a distinct sense of who we are speaking to helps us to know how we are going to put things in place before taking action. Knowing someone before asking always encourages people to feel free to request their needs.
Thank him:
Praising is one of the factors that need to be considered whenever we are communicating with our creator. The more we praise him of the past, the more it encourages him to answer our needs. Giving thanks before our request will encourage him to rise early to our needs, as the scripture says our creator knows what is needed in our life before we ask.
Ask for God's will:
The scriptures remind us that, he knows what is good for us, and he is closer to us than our cloth. Asking for his will before requesting our needs will help us overcome any traps set for us in life.
Say what you need:
This is the period for us to share our minds with God. He knows better than us, but it is our responsibility to ask him for everything. As he reminds us in the book of Mathew, "Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened”.
Ask for forgiveness:
After requesting our needs, we must ask for forgiveness. The scripture reminds us that "our Savior is ready to receive us, no matter the sins we have committed”. "Jesus told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and despised others:
Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisees stood and prayed, God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week, I give tithes of all that I get. But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift his eyes to heaven, but beat his great, saying, God, be merciful to me a sinner!
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other”.
Beloved, these are the points to consider when communicating with our savior. Please share and follow us on the link for more articles. Thanks for being with us.
