Every book has a purpose for publishing. There are different kinds of books to explain the history of religion but the old testament leads all. The new testament emerged from the old testament. It is referred to us as the Book of Law because it is the book that teaches the Israelites to live righteous life. Almost all the rules and commandments of God were compiled in the book old testament. It is written by many people, but every word in the book was from God to his people.
The old testament provides more reason to the extent that;

The Book of Law reveals God's heart for his people:

The old testament is the same as the Book of Law as I explained earlier. The Lord created humans in his image and every individual will be happy unless the work on his heart has been performed. As God is our creator, he uses these books to teach his people for them to communicate with him easily. The Israelites were led to the promised land because the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two edge sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

It Set The Stage For The New Testament:

In everything, there is something before something happens. Many people are complaining about how the old testament was narrated but without the old testament, the New Testament is incomplete. Almighty God reveals how the Messiah was going to live his life and how the generation was going to be. There were many challenges and how the people were diverted to different kinds of groups. The new testament was based on the Old Testament as the Messiah himself explained himself clearly during his preaching in the temple.

It Serves Us Countless Lessons, It Contains For Us;

Every individual needs an encourager to grow in life. God uses his word to encourage us without seeing him with our physical eye. It lesson has been published to direct Christians to work hard for whatever is hindered in our lives. God has helped us to the extent that every problem has its solution in the old testament. The disciples of Christ were called Christians because of how they imitated and limit their own decision toward God's work.
