Jesus Christ was the only one whose most Christians had faith in him. He did what is expected from him when he was sent by his father. Many consider Jesus as the messenger of God, while others too consider him as the savior who came to release us from our bound chains.

Although Jesus performs many works and John also took part in the spreading of Christ. He was the one who lead Jesus Christ in his preaching and teaching. John was very obedient and humble himself to the preaching of Christ, without considering his age. As John was on his way to his teaching, King Herod bound and seize him in prison.

John was bound in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife. John said to him, it is not lawful for you to have her. And though he wanted to put him to death, he feared the people, because they held him to be a prophet. But When Herod's birthday came, the daughter of Herodias danced before the company, and pleased Herod, so that he promised with an oath to give her whatever she might ask.

Prompted by her mother, she said, give me the head of John the Baptist here on a platter. And the king was sorry, but because of his oaths and his guests he commanded it to be given, he sent and had John beheaded in the prison, and his head was brought on a platter and given to the girl, and she brought it to her mother.

Beloved, please this is the reason why John was kept in prison, and for the sake of Herod's daughter, they kill him. Please let keep on visiting for more articles. Thanks for being with us.
