There are many ways that the Holy Spirit works in the lives of Christians, but they all share one common goal, that is, to make us more like Jesus christ. Just as the Holy Spirit raised christ from the dead, the Holy Spirit will give eternal life to believers in christ. Knowing the purpose of the Holy Spirit will help us as believers, and we shall take this opportunity to express our view on this article.

He renewed our minds to be like the mind of Jesus christ:

When the holy spirit control our minds, he will lead us to set our minds on what the spirit desires, which is pleasing the Lord. A Christian who has given his life to christ but is not being controlled by the spirit of God will still fulfill the sinful desires of human nature.

He gives us wisdom:

Wisdom is a gift that allows a person to understand things from God's point of view. A person with the gift of wisdom is able to take the truth and use it to glorify God by choosing Godly solutions to problems.

He gives us an understanding of the word:

Jesus promised his disciples that His spirit would teach them all things and bring to remembrance all that we said. He teaches us how to properly comprehend what they wrote as we read the Bible and seek to live by it.
