The only peace that can transform our lives, and give us humility and calm in our situation, is the peace that only God can give. Jesus reminds us He gives us perfect peace not like the world gives peace. The peace of God within us is our chiefest consolation when sorrow crowds in upon us. Peace with God is our anchor in the storm, our strong tower in adverse times, the other of our hearts, and the dryer of our tears.
The peace of God in us enables us to experience joy that is not dependent on external circumstances. Knowing these ways to attract the peace of Christ in our lives will help us to prepare for the second coming of Christ. And for us to attract these blessings we have to;
Meditate:
The Bible uses meditation as deep contemplation, a turning over and around in the mind to gain greater understanding and be changed by God's truth. Being able to meditate will help us gain new perspectives on stressful situations, build skills to manage our stress, increase self-awareness, focus on the present, and reduce negative emotions. Through meditation, we can gain a better understanding of God's will for our lives, receive guidance and direction, and find peace and rest for our souls.
Live in the present:
Living in the present moment means letting go of the past and not waiting for the future. It means living our life consciously aware that each moment we breathe is a gift. Present-moment awareness over time has also been found to decrease stress and abrupt changes in our mood we have more control over our thoughts. It also reduces our stress levels and makes us happier.
Cultivate a positive mindset:
Cultivating a positive mindset can boost our mood as well as our overall well-being. Someone with a positive mindset focuses on the good of a given situation. They do not ignore or make light of their and other people's problems, but they approach them with the expectation that they can go well. A positive mindset and outlook will improve our life in every way and we will experience some distinct health benefits. Positive thing is also a powerful tool that can help us overcome challenges, build resilience, and maintain focus on our objectives. Focusing on positive thought thoughts can also help us grow spiritually. As the scriptures say, " And I am sure that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion on the day of Jesus Christ”.
Develop love for ourselves:
Self-love is a state of appreciation for oneself that grows from actions that support our physical, psychological, and spiritual growth. Self-love means having a high regard for our well-being and happiness. Self-love helps us take care of ourselves, lower stress, and strive for success. It also helps to protect us from outside influences that might diminish our self-worth. God does not want us to go through our lives filled with hate, disappointment, or insecurities about ourselves.
