THE WORD OF GOD

There are many tools for Christians in fighting against the rulers of the darkness of this world but I suggest the word of God is one of the most powerful tools among them. The word of God is an armor of Christians. The armor is all about Jesus as the scripture says,” put on the full armor of God, to withstand and destroy the plans and decision of the devil”. The word of God is the light of all believers and as such, I would highlight some definition and how we benefit from it in our daily lives.

We can refer the word of God as things God has said. The word of God consists of God revealing something about himself through his spoken word, which is ultimately and perfectly personified in his son, Jesus Christ. The blessing from obeying the word of God is marvelous for us to share in this article;

The word of God gives us peace:

In reality, the kind of peace mankind needs comes from the word of God. As the scripture says, “for in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross”. Psalm 119:165 reminds us,” great peace has those who love your love; nothing can make them stumble”.

The word of God gives us hope:

Hope is a confident belief, based not on things experienced, but on the word of God that the future he says will happen. Jesus brings hope that we no longer need to walk in death and darkness. As the scripture reminds us,” but those who hope in the lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint”.

The word directs us in wisdom:

God speaks to us through the bible, which is our instruction manual or guide book for life. The word gives us good counsel, and brings us joy. The wisdom that you and I need for daily living is found only in God and comes from the mouth of God. true wisdom comes from the mouth of the Lord. As the scripture says, “if any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

The word of God gives life:

The word of God not only guides our steps and keeps us but also, it gives life. As the scripture says, “for the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

The word of God teaches us:

God’s word gives us the words of praise and the songs of joy that enables us to begin rejoicing in the life that we now have in Jesus. As the scripture reminds us, “all scripture is breath out by God and profitable for teachings, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.”
