The power of prayer

Prayer is communication with God. As Christians or believers of Christ, prayer is a way to express our needs to our creator. Prayer has a lot of benefit in our life as Christians. Beloved, Prayer is powerful because God command us to do it, and it is a way of daily communicating with Him. When we pray, we are opening up our hearts to Him and He is able to work in us and through us.  As the scripture says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God”. The benefits in the power of prayer attract me to share some of them in this article.

  • Prayer develops and strengthen a relationship with God

Having a relationship with God means having a constant communication with him. Prayer allows us to open up to God sincerely and honestly and strengthens our personal connection to God. just as we would work to develop a relationship with a new friend by talking with them, we can build a relationship with God through prayer. Joy can never come from the world, only through Jesus. When believers develop their relationship with the father, they can have the confidence that he is leading. As the scripture says, “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double minded.”

  • Prayer helps us make the right decision

Taking right decisions means asking ourselves what we want, and which option will most likely take us closer to our values. By seeking divine guidance, we invite not just spiritual support but also a clear headedness essential for making informed decisions. Beloved, life would be so much less stressful if we stopped and prayed, asking the father, who is omniscient, before making decisions. He knows exactly what’s best for our loved ones and us and will provide guidance in any given situation. As the scripture says, “Trust in the lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

  • Prayer gives us direction is life

A strong sense of direction can provide the resilience needed to navigate difficulties, as it reminds us of our long-term aspirations. Beloved, the lord is faithful to give direction. If we choose to follow the direction offered to us in scripture, we will discover a wellspring of peace and righteousness that completely drenches every part of our hearts with passion and purpose.  When we are guided by God, we can move forward boldly, assured of his leading.

As the scripture says, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, or it will not stay near you.”

  • Prayer avoids temptations

Temptation is a trial in which man has a free choice of being faithful or unfaithful to God. Prayer invites the holy spirit to work in our life, empowering us to overcome temptation. Beloved, resisting temptation strengthens our faith and shows our commitment to heavenly father to keep the covenants we have made. As the scripture says, “No temptation has overtaking you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Beloved, being able to read this article to an end will help us to know the benefits in the power of prayer. Let’s keep on visiting and share to others for more updates.
