Being a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ means to learn from him and to stay close to him. Disciples in the Christian sense is the process of making someone become like Christ. The disciple of Christ is to become like Christ in everything. For us to be like him, we have to trust Jesus so much and pledge full allegiance to him, imitate Jesus' life completely, and look to Jesus' teachings as the basis of moral decision-making. Being a discipleship with Christ has a lot of benefits in our life, but we shall discuss some of them in this article;

Become closer to Jesus:

Many Christians go through discipleship programs so that they can grow closer to Jesus and share him with others. When we get closer to him, we experience the rest of the soul. As Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”, we receive guidance and strength as well. Our connection with God makes us clean, grow, and bear good and spiritual fruits.

See him:

We can experience the abundant life and love of Christ in our lives through being in a relationship with others. Discipleship helps us first know Jesus so that we can let him live through us and others can experience his unconditional love and grace. And it is our benefit to know who Christ is, what he has, and what he possesses.

Know his ways:

The goal of discipleship, therefore, is not only to make converts that make converts but for all believers to become increasingly like Jesus. To know God is to have protection, to have provision, to be drawn to those who are righteous, and also to be troubled by sin. God himself can be known by revelation and his ways can be known by submission.

Become more like him:

Discipleship is a journey of intentional decisions leading to maturity in our relationship with Jesus so that we become more like him in our attitudes, focus, and ultimately behavior. May the good lord bless us. Let's keep on visiting and invite others for more updates.
