Is There a Difference Between a Believer and The Hypocrites?
Nowadays, many people are saying there is no clear definition about distinguishing believers from the hypocrites. The world has reach to a point that the believers or the true ones cannot abide by the rules that the lord has set for them. Why am I saying that?
Christians of nowadays are doing the will of the devil because they assume everything is normal in this world. At first, the true Christians cherished everything that the lord has given to them, but nowadays, what are we seeing and hearing about the believers. It seems the rules for the Christians has reciprocate. Beloved, I will urge you to follow me to an end to know what this article has for us.
What do we mean by a believer?
In the bible,
- a believer is someone who trusts in Jesus Christ as the Messiah and author of salvation.
- Has received the truth that Jesus is the son of God.
- Has chosen to serve Christ as their savior.
- Believes that Jesus died for their sins and rose again.
But do we see these actions nowadays?
If yes, why are we seeking help from the idols, a lying tongue, haughty eyes, hands that shed innocent blood, a false witness who breathes out lies, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, and one who sows discord among brothers. Almighty God always provide the best for us, but we are running away from it instead of fighting for it. As it is written, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and these things will be added to you.” The following points below will help us to know the difference within.
True believers love God:
A true believer undoubtedly loves the lord Jesus Christ. Loving God is to worship and praise Him with all of your heart, soul, and mind. To love God is to surrender, to relinquish, and to abandon ourselves to him, regardless of how we feel, what we think, or what we desire. And also, loving God can impart many blessing in our life, including peace, hope, comfort, protection, feeling closer to God feeling safe, feeling less alone, understanding, renewing strength avoiding contention, and eternal life.
True believers love others:
Loving others means showing care, kindness, and affection towards others. As it is written, “I give you a new commandment. Love each other just as much as I have loved you. For when you demonstrate the same love, I have for you by loving one another everybody will know that you are my true followers.” Beloved, as Jesus gave up his life for us, he wants us to do the same for one another.
True believers obey God:
Obedience to God is the act of hearing, trusting, submitting, and surrender to God and his word. Obeying God also means, we are completely surrender to His authority and base our decisions and our actions on His word. Obedience shows God that we love Him, and we trust Him which in turn activates His power in our lives. Obedience to the commandments brings freedom, personal growth, protection from danger, and many other temporal and spiritual blessings.
True believers pray:
Prayer is a way to communicate with God and develop a relationship with Him. Prayer is not just about asking for God’s blessings- though we are welcome to do so but it is about communication with the living God. As the scripture assures us,” praying at all times in the spirit, with all prayer and supplication for all the saints.” And also, by praying together for common needs, struggles, and times of celebration, we are able to encourage the other believers in our lives and motivate one another on to love and good deeds.
True believers read the bible:
The bible has been set as a guide for all believers to live a righteous life. For all true believers, who have come to Christ in faith, there is every reason to be confident in studying the bible. As believers reading the bible on a regular and consistent basis has a lot of benefits in our life. Reading the bible, shows us God’s character, teaches us to imitate God, help us discover our next step, keeps us from sin, and also help us to renew our minds so we can know God’s will.
True believers attend church:
Church is a place where believers gather to share the will of God and also worship the living God. many Christians attend church. Some go every week, some go once or twice a month, and a few go sporadically. Going to church is a tangible expression of our love for God. And also, the church provides members with revelations, standards, and guidelines that help us live as Christ would have us live.
True believers are witness:
Being a witness of the scripture count as one of the major points figure out in true believers. As Christians, we are called to be witnesses for Christ who present a testimony about the truth that we have experienced and heard. And as Christians, witnessing will stimulate our spiritual growth, lead us to pray and study God’s word, and encourage us to depend on Christ. As the scripture says,” You are my witnesses, declares the lord, and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he.”
True believers trust God:
Trusting in something is how we hoped to receive our needs no matter the situation from someone. Trusting God means believing in God’s reliability, truth, ability, and strength. And as believers, one of the encouragements to trust in him are the good things that come for us who trust in him, the benefits.
The following point above are some of the qualities we can figure out in a true believer. And as Christians, I believe this article has enlighten our perspective in knowing or identifying the true believers of Christ Jesus. As it is written, “So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit." Thanks for being with me to an end.
