To truly follow Christ is to follow his example and imitate his life. A follower of Jesus pursues a holy and righteous life.

Becoming a follower of Christ is more than saying a prayer and being baptized; it is surrendering oneself to Christ as ruler. A true disciple is not just involved but is committed to taking up his cross and following Jesus to the very end.

Being a follower of Christ has a lot of blessings in our lives, but we shall talk about some of the ways to follow Christ in this article.

Accept Jesus as our savior:

Salvation does not come from our good deeds or by doing anything special; it's a gift from God just because He loves us so much. We need to turn away from our sins, believe that Jesus is God's son and our behavior, and submit to him as the order of our lives.

Love God:

Being a follower of Christ requires us to love God in our lives. As the scripture says, "Love God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your heart, and with all your soul”.

When we love God, He redeems us from a life of sin, forgives all our sins, and also removes our sins from us as far as the East is from the West.

Self-love:

Self-love is a state of appreciation for oneself that grows from actions that support our physical, psychological, and spiritual growth. It is important because it motivates much of our positive behavior while reducing harmful behavior.

Prayer:

Prayer is communicating with God. God, our loving heavenly father, wants us to communicate with him through prayer. He always listens to us when we pray. It can also invite more peace into our lives, help us learn more about God's plan for us, and more.
