How can a Christian follow their daily prayers?

In the life of a Christians, daily prayers are counted as one of the most activities performed. Daily prayers refer to regular devotional practices and rituals that individuals perform to connect with their faith and spirituality. We have so many faiths in this world, but I would like to focus on how Christian should follow their daily prayers. God our heavenly father, wants us to communicate with him through prayer. As it is written, “rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God will for you in Christ Jesus”. Following a consistent personal devotional prayer shares a lot of benefits in our life. As a well equip follower of Jesus Christ observing consistent personal devotional, we share a lot of benefits in our life of which some includes:

• Devotions force our attention off of self-indulgent distractions and pursuits, and on to God’s purposes and promises.
• Regular devotions strengthen relationship with God.
• Devotions calm the mind and soothe emotions.
• Devotions provides directions and wisdom
• Personal devotions help us to build a personal connection.

Observing a consistent personal daily prayer shares a lot of benefits; we will focus on how we can achieve all these blessings in our life.

• Established a definite time to pray:

As it is written, “for everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven”. As Christians it our responsibility to set appropriate time to pray. As Christians, all we need is to make a list of all the tasks that we need to complete and assign each task an appropriate time. This way can guide us in our daily prayer life.

• Keep our appointment even when we don’t feel like it:

A lack of prayer comes from a lack of faith, which means we have taken our eyes off of God’s glory revealed in scripture. As it is written, “likewise the spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what the mind of the spirit is, because the spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God”.

• Find a suitable place to pray:

The scripture reminds us that, “And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your father who is in secret. And your father who sees in secret will reward you”. As believers, anytime we need to talk to God, that’s when we should pray. Any place we need to feel the influence of his love, that’s where we should pray.

• Don’t allow distractions into your prayer closet:

Most of the distractions in life are hunger, tiredness and everyday problems. To overcome distractions, it is important to get our mind focused on just one tasks. Schedule an important task and then block time to work on that task to remove distractions. It takes concentrated time to accomplish anything worthwhile. The art of ignoring enhances our ability to concentrate.

Considering these factors can help us to attract and received anything God has set for us and also praying can help believers come to a greater understanding of Gods purpose in their life.
