The word of God is life changing and life-sustaining and life-giving. If we obey God's commands, we will stay safe on the right path. The word of God has such authority that it accomplishes whatever God sets out for it to do. We have all read self-help and motivational books, but no book has more authority in our lives than the Bible.

It is our true guidebook for life. The word of God, similarly, has a purifying effect upon our lives, eliminating from them what is un-christlike. It not only shows us our faults, but it also makes us holy. As it is written, " And in His word , I find encouragement, peace, and satisfaction. I find solid ground to stand on. Living with the word of God will help give us purpose and meaning and help us interpret the world around us. God's word is special, and we ought to spend some time reading.
