Happiness from a Christian perspective entails having what we want and what is truly worth wanting.

For by it the people of old received their commendation. " The book written by Isaiah also read, " But they who wait for the lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."

Religion can give purpose by providing individuals with a sense of meaning, direction, and a framework for understanding their place in the world. Having healthy self-esteem means we are content in our God given gifts and abilities. Having a strong sense of self esteemed is important. When we feel confident about ourselves, it affect everything we do and those around us. High self esteemed boosts mental well being, helps us to handle adversity in a positive manner and help us to develop healthy coping skills.
