The wages of sin is death, but that death sentence was carried out on him when he died on the cross. As the very embodiment of God himself and the full expression of God's love and as the faithful one, Jesus took upon himself all our sins and the death that our sins deserved.

The guilt of our sin was taken away from us and placed on Christ, who discharged it by his death. Knowing the benefits of the death of Christ will help us to build our faith and I would like us to discuss some in this article;

Frees us from sin:

Through the redemption work of Christ, Christians have been liberated from the terrible forces of sin and death. The same spirit who enlivens Christians for holiness will also resurrect their bodies on the last day. We are completely freed from the guilt and punishment of our sins as we look to Jesus and see him make the payment for every last sin.

Cleanses us:

"For he who has died has been freed from sin". Because of Jesus' death on the cross, we are now dead to sin. Therefore, we are free to obey God. At Calgary, Jesus took the punishment that we deserved. His death was sufficient to cleanse us from sins' stains and free us from sins' power.

Deliver us from God's wrath:

By dying in our place for our sins, Christ removed the wrath of God that we justly deserved. Jesus fulfills and reveals the true nature of God's anger. At the cross, God's anger and God's love meet together to rescue humans and provide them with life on the other side of death.

Let's keep sharing and invite others for more updates. May the good lord bless us. Thanks for your special day with us.
